WACRM for Chrome: reply to WhatsApp Web leads with your trade edition

The WACRM Chrome extension adds a side panel next to WhatsApp Web, showing the WACRM contact, notes and quick replies for the chat you have open. This guide covers signing in from the extension, picking the trade edition that matches your business, saving a new lead as a contact, and using a quick reply you send yourself.

The WACRM Chrome extension turns WhatsApp Web into a lightweight CRM panel: open the WACRM side panel next to any chat to see the WACRM contact behind it, along with notes, tickets and your team’s quick replies, pulled live from your WACRM Workspace. It ships in a general edition and three trade editions that share the same sign-in, contacts, notes and tickets, each with its own quick-reply copy for how that trade works.

What you need before you start

  • A WACRM Workspace account with at least one project (early access — see pricing if you don’t have one yet).
  • Google Chrome, with the WACRM extension package loaded — see “Getting the extension” below.

Getting the extension

The Chrome Web Store item is being updated to WACRM for WhatsApp Web; that update isn’t published yet, so don’t install the current store version for this guide. Ask WACRM for the extension package and load it as an unpacked extension. Trade editions are sent on request.

Sign in to Workspace from the extension

  1. Click the WACRM icon, then click Sign in with WACRM. The extension opens a tab to approve the extension from your Workspace, and shows a waiting state while it polls for that approval.
  2. Approve the code in the Workspace tab that opened. Once approved, the side panel loads your account and shows an Open Workspace link and a Sign out option in its own nav.
  3. If the code expires before you approve it, the panel tells you so and lets you start again.

Pick a trade edition

Four editions exist today, each a separate Chrome extension package sharing the same sign-in, contacts, notes and tickets, with a trade-specific label and quick-reply set:

EditionFitsWhat’s different
WACRM for WhatsApp WebAny businessContacts, notes, tickets, quick replies and AI suggestions — no trade-specific copy
WACRM for Sales TeamsB2B salesAdds a “Deals & quotes” section under the contact card (that contact’s quote drafts, or an honest “No open deals for this contact yet”); starter quick replies like “Deal follow-up” and “Quote sent” before your Workspace has templates of its own
WACRM for Real EstateAgents and brokersStarter quick replies for listings (“New inquiry”, “Viewing confirmation”, “Listing details ask”, “Follow-up after viewing”) before your Workspace has templates of its own; “Listing replies” tab label
WACRM for WhatsApp Web — Beauty & FitnessSalons and studiosStarter quick replies for appointments (“Appointment confirmation”, “Appointment reminder”, “Reschedule request”) before your Workspace has templates of its own; Notes, Tickets and Quick replies tabs relabeled “Client notes”, “Service requests” and “Appointment replies”

Each is its own extension package — ask WACRM which one to load for your business while the store listing is pending.

Save a lead as a contact

  1. Open a chat in WhatsApp Web. The side panel reads that chat’s header title and pre-fills its own search box with it — click the search button (or press Enter) to look up the matching WACRM contact.
  2. If no contact is found, the panel shows Add to WACRM. If the chat header is a phone number, one click creates the contact with that number. If the header is a name, type the customer’s phone number in the box that appears (“Phone number to add this contact”); Add to WACRM stays disabled until it looks like a valid number, then the contact is saved with that phone and the header name.
  3. The saved contact’s notes, tickets and (on the Sales Teams edition) deal section are available whenever you look that contact up again from a chat.

Use a reply

  1. Open the Quick replies tab (relabeled per edition, e.g. “Listing replies” or “Appointment replies”). Approved templates show Send template; other templates show Insert. If your Workspace has no templates yet, the tab offers your edition’s starter replies — click + to save one, then Insert it.
  2. Send template sends that approved template through the WACRM API and works even outside WhatsApp’s 24-hour customer-service window, which WhatsApp Web itself can’t do. Insert instead drops the reply’s text into WhatsApp’s own message box for you to review.
  3. On the AI tab, click Suggest a reply, then Use this to insert the suggestion into the message box.
  4. However you got text into the box — quick reply or AI suggestion — review it and press WhatsApp’s own Send button yourself. The extension never sends a message for you.

Note

A note can also be translated in place: click Translate on it, and the panel shows the translated text with a Show original toggle, without changing the saved note.

Frequently asked questions

Can I install the WACRM extension from the Chrome Web Store today?

The Chrome Web Store item is being updated to WACRM for WhatsApp Web; that update isn't published yet, so don't install the current store version for this guide. Ask WACRM for the extension package and load it as an unpacked extension. Trade editions are sent on request.

Which trade edition should I pick?

Pick the one that matches how you work: WACRM for Sales Teams for a Deals/quote-draft view next to a contact, WACRM for Real Estate for listing-flavored quick replies, WACRM for WhatsApp Web — Beauty & Fitness for appointment and service-request copy, or the general WACRM for WhatsApp Web edition if none of those fit. All of them share the same sign-in, contacts, notes and tickets.

Does the extension send messages on its own?

Quick replies and AI suggestions only fill WhatsApp's own message box — you press WhatsApp's Send button yourself. The one exception is **Send template**: when you click it, WACRM sends that approved template through the WACRM API. The extension never auto-replies to incoming messages.

Does the extension read my WhatsApp message history?

No. The content script only reads the open chat's header title, so the side panel can look up the matching WACRM contact — it never reads message bubbles. Contact, note and ticket history shown in the panel comes from your WACRM Workspace, not from scraping the WhatsApp Web page.

Is WACRM affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta?

No. WACRM is an independent product built on the WhatsApp Business Platform and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Meta or WhatsApp LLC.
